The Dreamcast VMU (Virtual Memory System) was not just storage media and file manager. Several games also offered additional functions for the small Pad add-on, either as a transfer to the VMU directly from the menu, or as a download from the manufacturer's website.

The range of the various functions ranges from simple gimmicks such as animated characters or the game logos (which display the vast majority of games) to more or less useful ads such as the game at Virtua Tennis or the life energy of the character eg Resident Evil or Carrier to independent Mini-games and apps that sometimes even unlock extras in the main game.

The games listed here offer at least one more or less useful VMU function, ie games that show only the logo or a picture of a character on the VMU, are not mentioned separately since this would apply to almost all games.

The downloads offer you the .VMS-file, with which you can play the VMU-MiniGame / App on your PC in a VMU emulator (eg Soft VMS ) or you send the file to your Dreamcast mail address and upload it to yours Real VMU.
